Speed Limiting Device
Speed Governor or Speed Limitation Device (SLD) is a micro-controller based electronic unit, which constantly monitors the speed of a vehicle and controls the vehicle speed within the preset limit. The Product offers a variety of benefits to the fleet owners, drivers and passengers.
Why Speed Governors?
As per recent research done by GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS TRANSPORT RESEARCH WING, the statistics taking into account the total road accidents and total road accident killings, the share of over speeding comes to 55.9 per cent (2,68,341 out of 4,80,652 accidents ) and 49.0 per cent (73,896 out of 1,50,785 deaths) respectively.
Over speeding causes the maximum accidents. Thus the solution lies in controlling over speeding of transport vehicles thereby inducing discipline amongst drivers through use of technology. Speed Governors is such a device that restricts the maximum speed of a vehicle to a preset limit.
Speed Governor for Taxi & Cabs
Fly By Wire Speed Limiter*, model FBW99 is state of art technology, indigenously developed product. FBW99 is used for Speed Control of Vehicles having Electronic accelerator paddle.
The brain of the Speed Limiter is an Electronics Control unit that installed to received impulses from a speed sensor and activates a solenoid to restrict fuel when the speed Limit is touched.
The Speed Governor does not affect the acceleration in any way.
The Speed Governor is designed for a very easy and simple fitment as against the other designs based on accelerator control which take more than an hour.
Approvals and Certifications:
The Speed Governor is approved and certified by ARAI (Automobile Research Association of India, Pune) & ICAT (International Center for Automotive technology) for fitment in a wide range of vehicles.
Speed Governor for LGV MGV & HGV
The electronic control unit compares the actual driving speed with the set speed. The speed is computed by means of processing the Speed Signals from the Hall Effect Sensors mounted on the Gear Box. When the actual speed approaches the set speed the fuel solenoid valve closes thereby restricting the fuel supply
For Vehicles with both mechanically and electronically controlled engines.

The electronic control unit compares the actual driving speed with the set speed. The speed is computed by means of processing the Speed Signals from the Hall Effect Sensors mounted on the Gear Box. When the actual speed approaches the set speed the electronic control unit transmits command to the motor actuator to control the movement of the fuel control lever on the injection pump and restricts the fuel supply.
For Vehicles with mechanically controlled engines.
